On March 27th Erasmus University Rotterdam organises a symposium ‘Migration and Diversity Research in the 21st Century; framing the IMISCOE research agenda‘ (in Hotel New York, Rotterdam). The meeting marks the start of the coordinating role of Erasmus University in the IMISCOE network.

 On the 27th, there will be various contributions by leading scholars from across Europe on the role that IMISCOE can play in framing the research agenda of migration and diversity research in the 21st century (including Rainer Baubock, Rinus Penninx, Elizabeth Collett, Andreas Pott, Ricard Zapata, Marco Martiniello, Izabela Grabowska and Paul Statham). The meeting will be opened by Prof.dr. Huibert Pols, rector magnificus of Eramus University, and concluded by Ms. Korrie Louwes, Deputy Mayor of the city of Rotterdam. On the 28th a formal IMISCOE Board of Directors meeting will be held where the transfer of the IMISCOE network office to Rotterdam is formally marked.
